Import and answer a questionnaire
Import an Excel, Word or CSV questionnaire, review the drafted answers and export them into the customer's own file.
Updated
Supported files
TrustDesk imports Excel (.xlsx), Word (.docx) and CSV files, up to 20 MB. Spreadsheets can have several sheets and merged cells; Word files can have tables and numbered questions.
1. Upload
Go to Questionnaires → Import questionnaire, choose the file and enter the customer's name. The file is scanned for viruses, then read.
2. Confirm the columns
TrustDesk shows what it found on each sheet or table: the question column, where short answers go and where explanations go. Check the preview and adjust a column if needed. Sheets without questions (instructions, contact forms) are left out.
3. Drafting
Answers are drafted in this order:
- Your answer library: the same question approved before is reused as it is.
- Your controls and evidence: for new questions, a draft is written from confirmed controls and documents, with each source cited.
- Needs input: when nothing confirmed supports an answer, the question is marked with a follow-up question for a colleague.
If AI drafting is switched off for your organization, only step 1 runs, and nothing is sent to an AI provider.
4. Review
Filter by Needs input or Low confidence, edit answers, assign questions to colleagues and comment. Approve answers one by one or approve all high-confidence drafts at once.
5. Export
Download the original file with the approved answers written into the right cells or table rows. Approved answers are added to your library automatically.
